Just a Peek ~

I may have made a purchase this weekend…

even though our budget is really tight…

and we keep having unexpected *ahem* purchases …

like new shoes…

or medicine for Long Black yeast infected ears that drag on the ground…

or…

the need for a new leash…

not naming any names MERLIN…

he is always getting himself into trouble…

usually affecting our pocket book…

and my stress levels…

but not always…

I mean look at the poor guy…

with ice stuck to his foot…

Oops!

where was I …

Right, the purchase…

and the overwhelming need to Paint!

It gives me surface level happiness…

which I seem to NEED right now…

So, after all the drama last week…..

trying to pick a green for my kitchen…

I finally made a purchase

(that I didn’t need but I ‘needed’ it…)

I started with one of these…

Oh I love a new paint brush…

This cubby is the BEST!

I may have purchased it with this…

Benjamin Moore…

Georgian Green

Popping the top off that can…

that toxic smell…

putting the new brush in for the first dip…

makes me smile from deep deep down…

it releases all that stress I like to carry around….

anyway…

The DIP…

I love love love the first dip!

and the edging part…

makes me feel all happy inside…

maybe because I am good at it??  =)

Sometimes a girl just needs to paint… ya know?!

I just wish my body loved it as much as my soul does…

don’t get me started …

So that is how I spent MY Easter…

There you have it…

A sneak peek…

into my final paint choice!

I will reveal the room when it is done!!

So folks… THAT is how I spent my Easter…

since we seem to be churchless right now…

(I don’t want to talk about it ~ yet)  =)

I painted this Easter…

Right after we did this……

love that picture…

I have a thing for umbrellas…

they make me happy!  =)

anyway…

notice Tiger at Sammy’s feet…

he and Sammy go every where together…

Love that boy and his tiger!

OK…

Please don’t look too closely behind little girl…

you are only peeking remember?!

b/c I really started it on Saturday!

but it is not done yet!!

you can’t see any more!  =)

I love watching them enjoy holidays…

look at them bonding!

building memories!

melts the mommy’s heart every time!!

So many eggs!!!

half are really really small eggs!!

and I needed a lot of eggs…

for the funny bunny game ….

discovering one bunny piece  per egg …

$3.99 .. for  hours of entertainment!!

enough entertainment so the mommy could paint her kitchen/dinning room!~

I did stop to feed my family yummy food…

Turkey breast, the Pioneer Woman’s mashed potatoes =), asparagus, and carrots!

I love asparagus…

there is one draw back…

but I don’t think I need to mention it!!  =)

A low key Easter this year… rare but I was grateful for it…

this year it was just what I needed!

I was blessed to read all your encouraging blogs ~

while I stayed home and painted away my stress!  =)

I love fresh asparagus, and the consequences be darned. I wish you could come paint my house, as I hate every single minute of it, and I am not good at it, but alas, I am the only one capable of it, so I must do it. Can’t wait to see what your’s turns out like, I’m getting samples sometime soon here, whenever I can make it to the store!

You sure know how to build SUSPENSE in your readers, girl! We cannot wait to see the finished product!

Glad your Easter was a good one. God likes green, too – He’s painting it all over my neck of the woods. 🙂

    Have fun!

Thank you SO much for coming by my blog today, and for the sweet words of encouragement. Sometimes it’s nice to know you’re not sojourning alone, or blazing a trail no man has ever blazed before. 🙂 Really, I appreciate it so much.
I worked for a small animal vet for 5 years, and those yeasty ears are hard to get better. Usually there are a lot of underlying causes (such as food allergies) that keep them in a constant state of disarray. I hope you get it figured out soon, vet bills aren’t cheap!
Love that new color you picked, what a springy shade! I’ll be back to your blog, I’ve enjoyed your writings.

LOVE your paint choice! And who doesn’t love a nice new angled paint brush??? They are invaluable for cutting in.

I sure hope your church situation comes to a head in a positive way soon. But hey, look how productive you were and what fun your babies had!!
Thanks for the kind words on my post. I have tried Earth’s Best, actually that is all I used this time around besides making it myself some days. He just sees that his big sister is eating something and he has to have it…but it isn’t always what he needs, just what he wants. I just had to say it all to feel a little more relieved and it’s nice to hear so many of my friends’ stories and advice! Thanks again!

I’m strange, because I honestly don’t mind that particular draw back. I don’t find it all that offensive. Im weird like that.

Looking forward to see the final reveal.

I am LOL right now. You do have a way with the pen. I don’t know what I found the funniest…the doggy or the asparagus (I think I have to go with the aspargus)
And I must confess…..when I saw the brand new paint brush dipped in that virgin gallon of paint…I gasped.
Love the color and am impatiently waiting for the reveal.
PS – I will dig out the hip friendly spice muffin recipe and come back.
